Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 pound white button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • Pinch of ground black pepper
  • Optional: Chopped parsley, for garnishing

Instructions

  • Heat the oil and butter in a large sauté pan over medium heat.
  • Add the mushrooms, onions, and thyme. Cook for 5-8 minutes, until the mushrooms are browned and all liquid in the pan has evaporated.
  • Stir in the Worcestershire and soy sauce.
  • Season with pepper and sprinkle with parsley, if using. Serve warm.

Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to five days or in the freezer for up to three months.
