Ingredients

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, sliced into 1/4-inch thick strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Add the sweet potatoes and olive oil to a large mixing bowl. Toss until the sweet potatoes are evenly coated.
  • Add the paprika, garlic powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, and baking powder.
  • Season generously with salt and pepper. Toss to coat.
  • Spread the sweet potatoes out in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, turning over halfway through baking time, or until tender and slightly browned. Serve warm.

Notes

  1. If your fries aren't crispy enough when they are done baking, you can broil them in the oven for a few minutes to make them crispier. Just make sure you watch them closely, so that they don't burn.
  2. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to five days or in the freezer for up to three months.
